Slumps:
A slump is the sudden downhill movement of land also, but it all moves in one mass. It is like when you are sitting up straight, and then you slump your shoulders. All of your upper body moves together at once. A slump is like that, but instead, it is with land. A slump is caused, because the inner layer of the earth weakens, and the land on top becomes too heavy. Soon, the land will collapse, because the upper layer of land weighs it down. When the inner layer collapses, the outer layer collapses on top of it.
The inner land gets weak, when water soaks the lower ground, from a storm, causing the foundation of the land to become less firm and more wishy washy. Once that happens, the upper land looses its support, which is weak, and it falls down onto the lower layer, since it lost the strength it needed to support the upper layer’s weight.
